How to use this site

Note that this is not a discussion forum but a questions & answers site. Thus, when posting an answer to a question, make sure that it really is an answer. To comment on another answer, or to ask for clarification of a ques­tion, post a comment. Also note that you can edit your posts to correct errors or to add updates.

Voting
Voting is very important to point out parti­cu­larly useful questions and answers. When you see an interesting question or a helpful answer, do not hesitate to upvote it. Also, if a question is unclear, or if an answer is wrong or does not answer the question, do not feel bad about down­voting, but please also leave a comment on why you down­voted, and consider un- down­voting when the flaws are corrected.

Tags
Please use tags to cate­gorise your questions, but use them sparingly, and do not create synonymous or redun­dant tags. Tags are most useful when they are reused, and not created anew for each question.

Spam Users
This site seems to attract some Spam users from time to time. This is why the first question by a new user undergoes moderation and needs to be approved first. So if you are wondering why your question is not yet shown, just be patient, it should appear soon. (And if you are a Spam user, don't bother posting at all.) Also, in irregular intervals we will remove users who have never posted any content and seem to be Spam users. If you are a real user and your account got removed, don't hesitate to create a new account – once you've posted your first proper question or answer, your account is safe.
