JIAC IV

Prerequisites:
You need Java JRE installed to run your JIAC applications, the SDK for development. We have tested versions 1.5.0_05 and 1.5.0_11. Java 6 works, too.

Download JIAC IV Version 4.7.2 as library distribution with all dependencies [ZIP] (10.5 MBytes) Contains a number of Jar files to be added to your classpath.

JIAC IV Toolipse

Prerequisites:
Please, make sure that you have installed the
Eclipse IDE together with the Eclipse Modelling Framework (EMF) and the Graphical Editing Framework (GEF) plugins.

(We have tested Eclipse Version 3.2.2 and Version 3.3-Europe with the according EMF and GEF plugins, this is EMF-2.2.2 and GEF-3.2.2 with Eclipse-3.2.2 and EMF-2.3 and GEF-3.3 with Eclipse 3.3. Your Eclipse-Distribution must include JDT which is required for JIAC-Toolipse plugins to run properly and for compilation of JIAC agentbeans and helper classes.)

Installation:

Download JIAC IV Toolipse Version 2.0.7 bundled with JIAC IV Version 4.7.2 as zipped update-site distribution with all dependencies [ZIP] (25.4 MBytes) Save it to your local disc. Then use your update manager to install the JIAC IV Toolipse features (Help --> Software Updates --> Find and Install... --> Search for new features to install --> Next --> New Archived Site...)
OR Direct the Update manager of your Eclipse IDE to the following link [URL]   Copy link location. Then use the update manager (Help --> Software Updates --> Find and Install... --> Search for new features to install --> Next --> New Remote Site...)

JIAC IV Examples

Radio and Remote Control. This is a small example with two agents playing the role of a radio and a remote control. Implementation shows simple services and protocols. [ZIP] Save it to your local disk. Klick File --> Import... --> Existing Projects into Workspace --> Next --> Select archive file --> Browse... --> Select the saved Zip file --> The "radio" project should now be shown, make sure it is checked --> Finish
Multi-Agent Programming Contest. In 2007 we took part in the MAPC (former CLIMA Contest) and won the first price. The archived project contains the winner team programmed with JIAC IV and the contest server release, so you would be able to test your agents locally. [ZIP] Save it to your local disk. Klick File --> Import... --> Existing Projects into Workspace --> Next --> Select archive file --> Browse... --> Select the saved Zip file --> The "CLIMAcompetition" project should now be shown, make sure it is checked --> Finish

MicroJIAC

Prerequisites: You need the Java 6 SDK and Maven 2.0.9 or higher installed.
For Sun SPOT related projects you need also the Sun SPOT SDK installed.
For mobile phones related projects you need also the Sun Wireless Toolkit a specific toolkit installed.

Installation:

We release MicroJIAC and its dependencies within two different zipped Maven Repositories.
Download the MicroJIAC 1.1-SNAPSHOT release [ZIP] Save it to your local disk. Then extract the content (all files are within a single root folder).
Download all its dependencies. There might be issues with the licensing conditions of its content, so do not redistribute it further! [ZIP] Save it to your local disk. Then extract the content (all files are within a single root folder).
An example Maven configuration can also be downloaded. You have to modify it according the locations of the two extracted Maven repositories! [XML] Save it to your local disk. There are three possible locations, where you can position this file. We recommend to move it to your local Maven repository (usually $HOME/.m2 or %HOME%/.m2).
